Sony Cyber Shot 2730

There’s word about the Sony Cyber-shot S730 coming out in 2008. Some specs I’ve been able to figure out include:

- 7.2MP CCD sensor
- 2.4-inch LCD screen with wide viewing angle
- High sensitivity ISO 1250
- 3x optical zoom lens
- A new multi-point autofocus mode ensures pin-sharp images

Camera takes pictures when detects a smile



That's right, "using Sony's proprietary algorithm, this innovative intelligent auto shutter system [in the DSC-T200] responds actively to smiling faces

Samsungs new cell phone/ digital camera



Samsung's new G800 slider is now official, packing a 5 megapixel autofocus camera in a rather attractive metallic form; considering we already have a handful of 5 megapixel handsets on the market. What is notable, though, is the added bonus of a xenon flash and 3x optical zoom.( source - engadget )

Sony digital cameras




Sony just announced the sticky-sweet Cyber-shot DSC-T2 compact camera. Available in you choice of blue, green, pink, white or black candy coatings, the T2 comes loaded with specs: 8 megapixel, 1/2.5-inch CCD; 4GB of on-board flash storage with Memory Stick Pro Duo expansion; 2.7-inch, 230k pixel touchscreen LCD; ISO 3200 max sensitivity; Sony's "smile shutter" and face detection tech; and 3x zoom with optical image stabilization. Grin and snap it



Face recognition is all the rage these days in digital cameras, but Sony appeared to have taken the technology to the next level with its "smile shutter." The technology is supposed to detect when someone is smiling in a scene and automatically snap a photo of them. When I heard about the feature, I confess I was skeptical. Nevertheless, it tickled my curiosity. While I haven't been able to get my hands on a Sony model, like the........Go to the Gadget-blog

Hyundai makes a cell phone watch?



Hyundai, a company best known for their line of affordable personal transportation machines, is releasing the W-100, a cell phone watch with 1.3 megapixel camera. It comes complete with touch-screen and stylus, Bluetooth connectivity, MicroSD card, and will play MP3s. An English version will be made, but no word on pricing yet.
